I have a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work, where I received a Gerontology Resources and the Aging Community in Education (GRACE) fellowship from the St. David’s Foundation. My clinical experience includes individual and group work with older adults and their families at the Trinity Care Center in Round Rock, Texas. I have also worked with adults through UT-Austin’s HealthPoint Employee Assistance Program, at Capital Area Counseling (CAC), and as an associate of Sarah Kyle, PhD, LCSW. My practice work and and advanced training have focused on the treatment of adults who have experienced trauma in childhood, and its impact on relationships, parenting, loss, grief, and aging through the life course.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I spent over twenty years in Finance and Administration for large and small companies in high tech and life sciences in Texas, California, and Massachusetts.
I am a member of Austin Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology (Austin Psychoanalytic), serving as Board Treasurer for 2018-2020, a Psychotherapist Associate member of the American Psychoanalytic Association (APsaA), and a member of the American Association for Psychoanalysis in Clinical Social Work (AAPCSW).
